Our Notes On Postcolonial Feminism
“Our Notes on Postcolonial Feminism” explores how postcolonial and transnational feminism challenge the dominant narratives of Western feminism. As feminists form the Global North, we recognized the limitations of the feminism we were taught, one that often speaks over, rather than with, others. This project began as a response to that realization.
Through interviews with feminists from the Global South, we designed a book that documents a process of listening, unlearning, and expanding our perspectives. The book brings together personal reflections, key concepts, and contextual research, all held in a layered, notebook-like format. It does not claim to be definitive. Instead, it invites readers to join a collaborative journey of questioning and learning.
