The first fully customised muzzle for your dog
The opportunity.
There are more dogs than children under 14, with over 175.000 just in Barcelona proper. Over 80% of owners feel rejection towards using the muzzle and feel like it is uncomfortable, many of whom claiming they don’t put the muzzle on their dogs even when they should.
The product.
CanFlex consists of three parts: an injected basket, a 3D printed part which joins the basket to the snout and leads.
The printed part is fully customised and is printed in HP Multi-Jet Fusion printers. After printing, the parts are post-processed using sandblasting, a vapour smoothing and finally painted.
The injected part has a range of sizes which fit each dog, depending on the diameter and the length of the snout. Because of the small quantities, initially it is made using silicone moulds. In the future, metal moulds may be developed in case demand increases enough.
The whole product comes is a variety of colours, some designed to mimic the colour of the fur and other to stand out.
Service.
The experience is simple. Through our app, dog owners scan the face of their dog and choose the colours of the muzzle. We then print the piece and send it with the basket and leads. Once received, the owner gives us feedback and adjustments are made if necessary.
