FLORIR
This project is a highlight of the beauty in something so ephemeral around us, like flowers, more specifically the rose. Barcelona’s symbol is a flower, ’The Panot of Barcelona’ and throughout the city we have sculptures, tiles, panels and beautiful architecture with many styles of flowers. Choosing only one street as an experiment to see how many roses can be seen represented, while simultaneously reading the story of St. Jordi; one of the most
beautiful days celebrated in Barna. Tiying it all together with the color red to bring out the color of the flower.
The essence of the project lies in the many way we can preserve in time something as ephemeral as flowers; emphasizing the beauty and variety of roses in the city. Showcasing the many ways the rose, has been wielded into a city for centuries.
