BPT Bootleg Poker Tour
Everyone at some point heard the phrase poker face, (some thanks to Lady Gaga). The poker set plays with the story of Danuta Baginska-Andrejew who had the real poker face on when she refaced herself as Dana Andreev, after she emigrated from Poland. The cards are bootlegged from her movie posters that she was mostly known for. It’s a universal experience for people with non western sounding names to change it once they emigrate.
Much like in poker this bluff can lead to a high stakes game. To this day Dana is still an incredible artist with a change of medium from graphics to sculpture. Seeing how she’s still alive I hope she won’t sue, so if you’re reading this - Dana I love your art, girl you rock, true MVP! Hope you enjoy this bootleg version of your art!
