To address these issues, “Con Tacto” leverages the sense of touch as the main interface. The proposal includes customizable modules 3D printed using HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology, which allows for highly precise textures. These modules are designed to fit various kitchen appliances such as microwaves, air fryers, and induction cooktops, enabling intuitive use through touch alone.
Templates with textured surfaces and Braille labeling have been created for control panels, along with positioning guides that help center pots and pans on the cooktop—also indicating which burner is active.
Additionally, workstations have been developed using modules of different sizes, colors, and textures, each designated for specific kitchen tasks such as chopping, kneading, or plating. This helps to better organize the workspace and reduce risk during food preparation.
