Llum BCN 2025 “Eixir”
The site-specific installation made for the Llum BCN Festival 2025 took place on a wall that had been used for protest graffiti, a space that holds strong symbolic and political meaning for the community.
In Catalan, eixir means “to emerge,” to become visible after being hidden. Created in collaboration with the Poblenou Neighborhood Association through workshops with neighbors, the installation sought to bring the community’s memories, desires, and claims for a space that has long been neglected. As people approached the wall, the lights slowly faded, revealing the voice of the community through the act of presence.
