Stuart Medcalf is a multi-disciplinary artist, whose work spans across film screen and festival field through to sculpture and scenography. His background prior to MEATS Elisava has included an undergraduate degree in Architecture from TUDublin, where his thesis 'When It Gets Dark' included the scale of mass gathering through archaic and social interaction. He has co-created Irish Design Collective 'Fialaigh'. Their view of the world amongst his own, interrogates and investigates, the periphery, forgotten and overseen periphery spaces of city's. Both his architectural expression through form and filmographic intrigue are presented in the work he has both made and continues to make. Blending both his background in architectural education with an intrigue in the ephemeral world.
