Synthetic Intimacy

Synthetic Intimacy tackles AI as a potential alternative for human connection. This interactive installation allows visitors to explore the outcomes, skills, and implications—both positive and negative—of intimately interacting with algorithms. The project reflects on AI mimicking human emotions, human emotions, personality, and knowledge. It highlights that these are still programmed algorithms without genuine human consciousness.
The installation warns about the psychological vulnerabilities in AI-human relationships, provoking visitors to consider the possible consequences of relying on algorithms for emotional fulfilment. The project fosters informed decision-making, empowering people to take control of their AI interactions, and promotes genuine human connection.
