Designer born in 2001 in Bologna, Italy. After completing the bachelor, she began exploring the intersection between materiality, sustainability, and speculative thinking.
Alongside her academic path, she developed a strong interest in craft and materials, which led her to intern in a traditional goldsmith’s workshop, where she learned the fundamentals of jewelry design.
Ideation plays a central role in her process—she is drawn to shaping clear, structured concepts from abstract ideas and enjoys organizing collaborative work to bring them to life in ways that are understandable and accessible to all.
Now completing her Master in Design for Emergent Futures at IAAC in Barcelona, Maria Vittoria focuses on material experimentation and interdisciplinary research. Her recent projects explore the unconventional potential merge of materials such as mycelium and red mud, as well as bioremediation strategies, imagining new relationships between design, matter, and ecology.
