Built with a human-centered design approach, the project prioritizes emotional safety, therapeutic value, and playful intimacy. Every detail, from its Pixar-style plushie avatars to the gentle conversational tone, was crafted to help families reconnect across time. With Love, Ü explores how AI can hold space for love, healing, and remembrance, not just by simulating memory, but by nurturing the relationships behind them.

Behind the scenes, With Love, Ü combines natural language processing, memory embeddings, and image generation to build a deeply personal AI experience. A Flask backend powers memory storage, voice and image uploads, and semantic tagging, while a GPT-based system processes the emotional tone and context of each memory. Using frequency analysis and object detection, the system generates plush-style avatars with DALL·E, tailored to the child’s emotional world. All interactions are rendered through a soft, responsive Astro frontend, designed to make each step feel intuitive, safe, and emotionally resonant.
