MC Love is a designer and researcher with a background in architecture and critical contextual design. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union in New York City and a Master’s in Critical Contextual Design from Elisava in Barcelona. Her work examines how visual and spatial aesthetics—particularly those tied to the cowboy, the frontier, and state power—are used to naturalize systems of settler colonialism, incarceration, and border policing in the U.S. Southwest. Through drawing, spatial analysis, and mixed-media installation, she constructs counter-archives that disrupt dominant historical narratives. Her practice is grounded in experimental approaches to displaying critical public art and research, combining print-based production, self-publishing, and spatial storytelling.
