Participants

The practice of roaming improvisation tattoo explores form of intuitive, collaborative expression rooted in verbal and non verbal communication. Operating at different locations in Barcelona, each tattoo emerges from a dialogue between me and the person who is getting the tattoo, which is shaped by the energy of the pure moment, the environment and the evolving connection between us.The tattoos are drawn spontaneously, guided by active listening and a sensitivity to the presence with the other person. By practicing shifting attention to our presence, we readjust our awareness towards nature, the body itself is an important aspect, to balance out the hyper focusing on intellectual.

As the world is filling with more and more information, we are adapting to the alternative ways of communicating. The question is: how do we process the information(emotionally and intellectually) we receive subconsciously? How do we learn about ourselves? How do we connect with people that we care with heartful attention?

Project PUPA is a performance connecting the heartbeat of the person who is getting the tattoo to the dress that tattooist wears, expressing the unseen connection during the live tattoo session. Soundscape is playing in the background, with black fabric on the floor, flowers are the boundry of this session that the audience can only watch outside of the tattooing area. A sacred and private space just for the tattooist and the tattoo recipient.
