Sea Glass Project
This film talks about the journey sea glass undergoes, drawing parallels with the way we (humans) perceive ourselves. Emphasizing the human tendency to create a connection with non-human entities by placing human emotions and experiences onto them is called anthropomorphism.
This story encourages thinking about how we can appreciate the way sea glass looks, and that we should try to focus that energy towards ourselves and others too.
When coming across the small pebbles of polished glass on the beach, a similarity to us as humans struck us. This film explores how a glass object, considered broken and discarded, can transform over time to be perceived as something of value.
Complementary to this film is a questionnaire, further showcasing the parallels drawn between the life people and sea glass, reflecting upon our personal journey. After completion, sea glass is given.
